Our entire family was enriched by the Blue Sky Camp! Our son would come home every evening and “teach” the rest of us what he learned. By the end of the week both my husband and I wanted to take the classes with him! I LOVED how positive and fun the learning process was! We’re ALL looking forward to our next adventure with Laura and staff! Submitted by D.J. Carlson
My son had a great time and impressed me with his new knowledge of how things fly (lift, thrust, etc.). He also had fun with the camp helpers (teenagers). Submitted by Fawn Dunbar
My child really liked the interactions with the teenage helpers. She enjoyed making lots of take home projects (all of the cool "flying things"). She also loved the Gack/Oobleck and having some time to see and feel the turtles. Submitted by Beth Burris
The boys enjoyed the activities and bringing home their creations. Any time they got their hands dirty and their minds working, they were thrilled. The boys can't wait until next summer to do it again. They still talk about the worms and the bats. Our bat house it hanging on the barn waiting for the first tenants. Submitted by Alice Johaneson
She liked meeting other kids her age and working on a challenge that stimulated her mind - especially now during the summer months when she is not in school and misses challenge from that!

He enjoyed the combination of learning as a group and hands on project as an individual. There was a great atmosphere of relaxed, fun learning. The subject, activities, setting, and people all supported that feeling. My son loved the help of the assistants and the guidance of Laura.

My children enjoyed the variety of activities and particularly enjoyed working with live creatures, e.g: worms, bugs, etc... I appreciated how they looked forward to the “fun” aspect of the camp. I don’t think they noticed the “learning.” I think that’s icing on the cake during a vacation break. They learned that science, bugs, dirt, and yucky stuff can be really fun. That’s important, not only for science education, but especially for girls.

My son enjoyed all of the projects and activities in Flying Things camp. I'd say he especially liked the flying helicopter craft. Keep up the wonderful work!

My son had the best time at camp. I think what made it most meaningful is the variety of hands-on experience (paired with learning through books, etc) and the small group size. The only thing that he would have liked better is for camp to be longer -- I think he would have loved to be there all day! He has participated in a handful of camp/enrichment activities, and the ones that have been his favorites are the ones where the camp leaders are flexible, fun, enthusiastic about their topic, and actually really care about kids. You managed to do all of that!! I was super impressed with your camp and how well you manage kids/parents in a caring way. Thanks again for running a super great camp!!

The Design and Build session is completely aligned with my son's interests - math, planning and building. This camp is unique and not offered anywhere else. The setting is wonderful ... he really enjoyed seeing the animals, and a nice bonus was having a friend in the same camp! He also thinks you're a "really good teacher" and we both appreciated your warm, laid back approach.
